| This paper fulfils our desire to analyse one language aspect able to group morphosyntax, semantics and pragmatics together, all these being different points of view that offer us a general and an integrating perspective on any phenomenon of language. Our aim is, then, to study causativity as a basic semantic category that allows human beings to explain the relationship between two events in the world: cause, that initiates action, and caused or effect, that undergoes a change of state. It is a concept that can be linguisticly expressed in different ways. Among them, we have chosen the denominal causative verbs, since they give us the chance to embrace the language analysis perspectives above mentioned: derivative morphology, semantics, syntax and pragmatics. |
