Abstract: Silver halide sensitized gelatin is one of the most promising techniques for the manufacturing of transmission holographic optical elements. These techniques combine the relatively high sensitivity of photographic material with the low scattering and high light-stability of dichromated gelatin. The influences of the developer and the bleaching in the diffraction efficiency and noise is analyzed starting with Agfa 8E75 HD plates.
