| Smart Destinations as a concept, recently studied in the world academic literature, have been discussed by reference institutions in tourism like Segittur (2013). Sebrae, aware of the great world trends in tourism, considered that 2017 was the opportune moment to innovate and proposed a Smart Destinations-based strategy. And Segittur (2013) was the reference. To be adherent to this strategy the projects, which serve only small business, should be structured on four axes: Technology, Governance, Experiences and Sustainability. Until now, Sebrae had approved 41 tourism projects from 16 Brazilians States, which were the subject of this article analysis. The main reflection is that the adherence level of projects, in the first strategy months, is low. However, most of them had proposed actions for the main axes of the strategy: Technology and Governance, a promising path. |
