40 años de Patrimonio Mundial. La Sarga (Alcoi, Alicante) como paradigma

Abstract

Con ocasión del 40 aniversario de la Convención sobre la Protección del Patrimonio Mundial se analizan los trabajos de investigación, protección y difusión de las pinturas prehistóricas de La Sarga (Alcoi, Alicante). En 1998 se incluyó, junto a otros conjuntos con arte rupestre del arco mediterráneo de la península Ibérica, en la lista de Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO.

Amb ocasió del 40é aniversari de la Convenció sobre la Protecció del Patrimoni Mundial s’analitzen els treballs d’investigació, protecció i difusió de les pintures prehistòriques de la Sarga (Alcoi, Alacant). En 1998 es va incloure, juntament amb altres conjunts amb art rupestre de l’arc mediterrani de la península Ibèrica, en la llista de Patrimoni Mundial de la UNESCO.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of The World Heritage Convention, we analyze the work of research, protection and diffusion of the prehistoric Rock Art of La Sarga (Alcoi, Alicante, Spain). In 1998 La Sarga was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list, along with other Rock Art sites of the Mediterranean area of the Iberian Peninsula.
