Los contenidos culturales en la enseñanza del español 2/L

Abstract

Este artículo se centra en la evolución de la didáctica de los contenidos culturales en el aula de E/2L, durante las últimas décadas, proponiendo el término cultura como conjunto de comportamientos habituales de un colectivo. Los hábitos y organización familiar de éste, su forma de relacionarse, la situación de la mujer y su evolución, su relación con el tiempo cronológico, la organización del ocio y la manera de celebrar sus fiestas, así como su gestualidad y su relación con el espacio. En una palabra, todo lo que podríamos llamar señas de identidad, todo aquello que se comparte y que se acepta como natural, que es a menudo diferente, pero que define las formas de vida y la visión del mundo de los hispanohablantes. El objetivo de este trabajo es tanto desmontar los habituales tópicos o estereotipos, como ayudar a los estudiantes procedentes de otras culturas a descodificar los comportamientos citados, favoreciendo su integración en el mundo hispanohablante. Se proponen al docente una serie de textos literarios y periodísticos recientes que podrán analizarse en el aula, en forma de tareas.

This article focuses on the evolution of the didactics of cultural contents in room E/2L, during the last decades, by proposing the term “culture” as referring to the set of usual behaviours within a group. This means its habits and family organisation, its way of mixing with others, the situation of women and its evolution, its relationship with the chronological time, the way leisure time is organised and festivities are celebrated, its way of gesturing and its relationship with space. In a word, all what we could call the “identity signs”, all what is shared and accepted as natural, that is often different, but that defines the way of living and vision of the world of Spanish speakers. The objective of this study is to take to pieces the usual clichés and stereotypes, and to help students from other cultures to decode the above mentioned behaviours by improving their integration in the Spanish-speaking world. A series of recent literary and journalistic texts that can be analysed, as tasks, in the classroom will be proposed to the teacher.
