| Abstract: | La estimación de la edad en menores es una pericial que con frecuencia se plantea en los Institutos de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses. Presentamos la actividad desarrollada en el Instituto de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses de Alicante durante 2023. Se plantearon 26 periciales de las cuales 24 correspondían a migrantes sin referentes familiares y 2 a presuntos menores ingresados en prisión. Presentamos el protocolo de actuación de la unidad de estimación forense de la edad en menores del IMLCFA y los resultados obtenidos en los 24 casos estudiados. | The estimation of age in minors is an expert that is frequently raised in the Institutes of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences. We present the activity carried out at the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences of Alicante during 2023. 26 expert reports were presented, of which 24 corresponded to migrants without family references and 2 to alleged minors admitted to prison. We present the protocol of action of the forensic age estimation unit in minors of the IMLCFA and the results obtained in the 24 cases studied. |
