| The Yawanawá have lived at in the Amazonian Forest since time immemorial. A bond was constructed with them in 2016. This practical experience established a direct dialogue with the women of the Yawanawá, who wish to produce new architectures in their territory. The initial objective was to think together about spatial projects through a crossing-over of knowledge: their ancestral indigenous knowledge and my knowledge as an architect. Parallel to this experience, a teaching transfer process is under development through various exercises, which aim to expand ancestral indigenous voices and cosmologies in the formulation of new educational emancipatory practices. These exercises have been initiated in Final Graduation Projects (TFGs), and as part of study trips to research the knowledge of constructive practices in indigenous territories. Furthermore, transference from the real encourages us to exercise an intersection of knowledge that recognizes the multiplicity of spatial ancestral memory that all students retain in their own bodies and life stories. |
