Resumen: | This research aims to analyze and assess the use of the educational digital platform Google Classroom as a didactic tool for learning statistics in sports science. A total of 89 students were studied (65 undergraduate and 24 master’s degree students). For the assessment of the results obtained in the intervention, the implementation of a questionnaire on specific statistical content provided through an online questionnaire Google Forms was carried out. For the control group, four one-hour theory sessions and four three-hour practice sessions were carried out on statistics content through a master class on theory and problem-solving practices during practice, respectively. Similarly, the same face-to-face intervention was carried out with the students of the experimental group, but the materials were previously provided through the Google Classroom digital educational platform. The results of the present study report that the students in the experimental group obtained better scores in the improvement of their mean knowledge than those in the control group. Therefore, the educational digital platform Google Classroom could be presented as a suitable tool for teaching statistics to sports science students. |
