Abstract: 
El artículo trata de presentar en muy pocas palabras dos cuestiones íntimamente relacionadas entre sí. La primera cuestión es la de las conexiones que pueden trazarse entre la acción de «acordar» (tomar o alcanzar acuerdos) y la actividad de «debatir». La segunda es la presentación de la «negociación» como un «debate» entre partes que tratan de alcanzar un «acuerdo». La respuesta a la primera cuestión viene a ser el marco general en el que se inscribe la segunda; y la segunda puede verse como una ilustración de la primera.
The article tries to present in a nutshell two closely related questions. The first one is that of the connections that can be drawn between the action of «agreeing» (taking or reaching agreements) and the activity of «debating». The second question tries to present «negotiation» as a «debate» between parties trying to reach to an «agreement». The answer to the first question becomes the general framework in which the second is posed; and the second, can be seen as an illustration of the first.
