The corpus of analysis is formed by interviews to universitary students about the beginnings of their career and their opinions about the different subjects. In the article, after a brief summary of the theoretical foundations of the investigation, we present the structural analysis of the interviews, divided into thematic parts, and seek to correlate the textual composition acts involved in each part with the language functions —referential or emotive— they serve. Finally, we verify that the functions of the textual composition acts depend of the prevailing language function and, consecuently, we recognize that the same acts may be filled with different communicative values according with the language function they are associated.
