Abstract: 
Aquest article aporta claus interpretatives per a la contextualització d’Il mestiere di vivere de Cesare Pavese, mostra algunes de les tortuoses contradiccions del malaguanyat escriptor, i analitza la censura que es va operar quan l’editorial Einaudi finalment es va decidir a publicar-ne el cèlebre diari.
This paper focuses on the interpretative keys for the contextualization of Il mestiere di vivere by Cesare Pavese. It shows some of the devious contradictions of the ill-fated writer and it analyzes the censorship applied when Einaudi publishing house finally decided to publish the famous diary.
