Abstract: 
Se presenta una propuesta de Sistema Básico de Indicadores de Sostenibilidad Turística para la Argentina, que parte de la utilización de información actualmente disponible, puede aplicarse a todo el territorio nacional y a diferentes escalas, cubre equilibradamente los cuatro subsistemas universalmente aceptados y también los distintos tipos de indicadores posibles. En la primera parte se desarrollan los conceptos de calidad y sostenibilidad en turismo, así como las experiencias en materia de sistemas de indicadores para su medición. Luego se resaltan las ventajas de una concepción sistémica, como herramienta científica para la planificación estratégica y el desarrollo regional. En esta primera aproximación se propone un sistema territorialmente inclusivo y una metodología para la clasificación y el vuelco cartográfico sustentada en la aplicación de parámetros estadísticos ponderados. Se ejemplifica con los resultados de una prueba piloto para la provincia del Chubut.
Presents a proposal System of Basic Indicators of Sustainability Tourist to Argentina, that part of the use of information currently available, can be applied throughout the country and for different scales, evenly covers four universally accepted subsystems and the different types of possible indicators. The first part develop the concepts of quality and sustainability in tourism, as well as experiences on systems of indicators for its measurement. Then outlines the advantages of a systemic conception, as a scientific tool for strategic planning and regional development. This first approximation proposes a territorially inclusive system and a methodology for the classification and mapping based on the implementation of weighted statistical parameters. It is exemplified with the results of a pilot for the province of Chubut.
