Abstract: 
Presentamos la figura del P. Alliaume y su obra Dictons et Traditions, compuesta de textos –escritos en francés y árabe argelino– que fueron recogidos en el desierto argelino entre 1926 y 1978. En el trabajo damos una visión general del contenido de los veintisiete dosieres que el P. Alliaume preparó durante los años vividos en el Sáhara, con una presentación sucinta del árabe hablado en el Sáhara a partir de los textos, y finalizamos con una exposición de algunas ideas que consideramos pertinentes en relación con la visión orientalista del padre blanco, extraídas de estos documentos.
We present the figure of Fr. Alliaume and his work Dictons et Traditions, composed of texts—written in French and Algerian Arabic—which were collected in the Algerian desert between 1926 and 1978. In the paper we give an overview of the contents of the twenty-seven dossiers that Fr. Alliaume prepared during the years he lived in the Sahara, with a succinct presentation of the Arabic spoken in the Sahara from the texts. We end with an exposition of some ideas that we consider pertinent in relation to the orientalist vision of the missionary, extracted from these documents.
