These demands necessitate changes in the learning structure corresponding to new organizational needs capable of transforming the way of doing business. This study analyses the pedagogic experience of using organizational strategies and complex thinking techniques in the classrooms of three universities in Colombia (Corporación Universitaria Rafael Núñez de Cartagena, Institución Universitaria Politécnico Grancolombiano and Corporación Universitaria Iberoamericana). The study involved implementing a mixed approach by applying two information collecting instruments: a structured survey and a structured interview. This process allowed the evaluation of the personal experience of the participating students. Integrating theory and practice in the formative process through the use of business tools and the teacher’s action to promote the use of business strategies in the classroom for developing interpersonal and cooperative work tools were two relevant findings. Finally, it is necessary to state that implementing business strategies in the classroom allows students a broader vision of their careers.
