| dc.description.abstract | A new scenario is proposed regarding the origin of the Ninus: the text may have been written in Parthia halfway through the 1st century BC. This article offers a proposal for the plot of the first part of this work, and speculation on whether the motifs of the Ninus have left their mark on Persian literature.
