| Information Systems Offshore Outsourcing (OffOut) has suffer a dramatic development in recent years all over the world. This practice is encouraged by a group of reasons, like the tendency to globalisation, the technological development and the possibility to explore new markets and areas. But there could exist more risks associated to OffOut that to Onshore Outsourcing, when the client and the provider are in the same country. Those risks are derived from the geographical and cultural distance between the parts. As a consequence the present study analyses the specific OffOut reasons and risks, contrasting their importance in the large Spanish firms. |
