Escribir en el aire frente a la cultura letrada (volviendo a Crónica de músicos y diablos, de Gregorio Martínez)

Abstract

En este artículo se subraya cómo en Crónica de músicos y diablos (1991), del escritor afroperuano Gregorio Martínez Navarro (1942-2017), es fundamental la oposición entre la cultura oral, popular y la cultura escrita, culta, que se manifiesta en la estructuración de la novela y en otros aspectos como su intertextualidad. En su base histórica, esta novela se corresponde con el auge de una nueva narrativa histórica en el Perú, por los mismos años.

In this article it’s emphasized how in Crónica de músicos y diablos (1991), by the Afro-Peruvian writer Gregorio Martínez Navarro (1942-2017), the opposition between the oral, popular culture and the written, cultured culture, manifests itself in the structuring of the novel and in other aspects as intertextuality. In its historical basis, this novel corresponds to the rise of a new historical narrative in Peru, for the same years.
