Abel Posse: Colón y su epopeya desde el saber demiúrgico

Abstract

El presente trabajo se centra en el Cristóbal Colón de Los perros del paraíso, de Abel Posse, novela en la que el autor, sin la pretensión de actuar desde lo que comúnmente se llama rigor, pero sin rehusar por sistema el legado de la historia oficial, interpreta la controvertida figura del Descubridor desde la libertad del poeta, esto es, desde la autoridad del demiurgo.

This work concentrates on the Christopher Columbus of Los perros del paraíso by Abel Posse, a novel in which the author, with no pretensions to what is commonly accepted as accuracy, though without systematically rejecting the legacy of official history, interprets the controversial figure of the Discoverer from the point of view of poetic licence, i.e., with the authority of a demiurge.
