Los héroes griegos en la literatura juvenil del S. XXI

Abstract

Los héroes griegos clásicos (parte fundamental del mito griego) aún viven: desde la Antigua Grecia hasta la actualidad han sido recreados en diferentes composiciones literarias y artísticas. De este modo, en el último siglo, una de las literaturas que, de manera recurrente, ha recuperado a este tipo de personaje para la creación de nuevas obras es la Literatura Infantil y Juvenil. En estas versiones, éstos sufren cambios con respecto a las características que ya poseían en sus obras originales. Según el nivel de reelaboración de sus rasgos y del contexto en los que éstos eran protagonistas, diferenciamos entre adaptaciones (menos nivel de reelaboración) y reescrituras (más nivel de reelaboración). Por tanto, veremos obras juveniles más fieles al héroe griego inicial y otras que se distancian más del mismo. En el siguiente artículo solo realizaré una aproximación genérica y un resumen descriptivo del tema. Sin embargo, con ello fundo las bases que emplearé en futuras investigaciones para profundizar sobre la presencia de los héroes griegos en la LIJ.

Classical Greek Heroes (a very important part of the myth) are still alive: they have been used from the Ancient Greek to this century in different types of literary and artistic compositions. In this way, on the last century, Children’s and Young Literature has been the most important type of literature that have reused classical greek heroes to write new books. In these new versions, these characters experience changes and have different characteristics from the greek models. In the Children’s and Young Literature that reuse Classical Greek Heroes, there are two types of compositions: adaptations and rewrites. The difference is the number of changes that authors make in the characteristics of these classical greek characters. In other words, there are young compositions near the original text and other compositions away from the classical greek models. In the next article, I’m going to do only a generic approach and a descriptive summary of this theme. However, it will be esential to develope, in future researchs, certains aspects about greek heroes in Children’s and Young Literature.
