| The contest for the first tourist city of Spain was held in 1933. The competition requirements asked the pre-existing elements– reveals an accurate continuity linking the geography and the city planning that emerges from both the urban reflection and the graphic tools. First, the territory is drawn by using diagrams. Second, the data and the different uses of the space that would be developed over the time. And third, the pictures of the landscape highlight the main spots and some of the architectural landmarks. This milestone in urban planning brings together graphical and photographical modern techniques interacting with the modern principles of urban zoning. |
