Comunidades tecnosociales. Evolución de la comunicación analógica hacia la interacción analógico-digital

Abstract

Los seres humanos siempre hemos formado redes sociales. Son éstas las que nos han ayudado a evolucionar como sociedad y las que han dado lugar a la creación y desarrollo de comunidades. A partir de la aparición de Internet y de la Web 2.0 (O’Reilly, 2005), se han formado también redes sociales digitales que han evolucionado hacia lo que conocemos como comunidades virtuales. Es así como vivimos en lo que Castells denomina “la Sociedad Red” (2001). Cada vez es más evidente la convergencia entre el mundo analógico y el digital permitiéndonos mantener una comunicación sincrónica y asincrónica independientemente del espacio-tiempo en que nos encontremos. La cibercultura y la cultura de la participación son dos características del S. XXI que están transformando el sentido de comunidad tradicional dando paso a comunidades interconectadas, que llamaremos comunidades tecnosociales.

Humans have always made social networks. It is these ones that have helped us evolve as a society as well as have led to the creation and development of communities. The advent of the Internet and the Web 2.0 (O’Reilly, 2005), have also created digital networks that have evolved into what we know as virtual communities. This is how we live in what Castells calls "the Network Society" (2001). Whenever the convergence between the analog and digital worlds is more evident it allows us to maintain a synchronous and asynchronous communication regardless of space-time in which we find ourselves. Cyberculture and culture of participation are two characteristics of the in the 21st Century which transform the traditional sense of community giving way to networked communities, which we call technosocial communities.
