Patrimonio arquitectónico y sostenibilidad: reciclaje y participación, mecanismos para la revitalización urbana

Abstract

Esta investigación transita los caminos emprendidos, de forma espontánea por ciudadanos anónimos, que participan en el desarrollo de centros socioculturales independientes. En concreto, se estudian, desde la óptica disciplinar, aquellos que se instalan en edificios desocupados de centros históricos y populares velando de alguna manera por la salud física, ambiental y social de un fragmento especialmente sensible de las ciudades. El objetivo es analizar el fenómeno a través del estudio de dos casos, con la intención de comenzar a dilucidar el papel del arquitecto en un modo de hacer indeterminista y participativo, que está demostrando ser altamente efectivo a nivel material y emocional, lo que puede ofrecer pistas sobre la inaplazable redefinición de la profesión.

This research studies the spontaneously produced phenomenon by anonymous citizens who participate in the development of Independent Cultural Centers. Specifically we study, from architecture point of view, those cases in which these centers take up to empty buildings in popular and historic city centers. In this way, they take care of physical, environmental and social health of this sensitive parts of the city. The objective is to analyze the phenomenon through the study of two example. We have the intention of clearing up the architect roll in a indeterminated and social way of doing, which is physically and emotionally effective. It is possible that we can find here some trails about a redefinition of the discipline, that can’t be postponed.
