| After presenting his university studies’ final project, he asked for a seat in Sevilla’s Service of Cadastral Advance where he will work as Brigade Chief Engineer, from 1917 to 1921. The Andalusian field will give him the opportunity to contrast both realities: the Valencian one, where there is a predominance of the small and medium property, with a strong cooperative implantation, and that of the big large estate owners, where it’s difficult that the former entities could prosper. From this confrontation arise a lot of articles and, also, his two fundamental works: Los latifundios en España (1932) and Reforma Agraria. Problemas fundamentales (1932). His vinculation with the Andalusian Regionalist movement leads him to promove agrarian associations in Paradas, Carmona, etc; to take part in the Regionalist Assembly of Córdoba as spokeman in Sevilla’s Center. His move to Valencia in 1921 will not cut his relations neither with the group nor with his ongoing project of Agrarian Reform, sketched in this stage of his life. |
