L’epigrafia ibèrica del Cabeço de Mariola (Alfafara, Alacant; Bocairent, València)

Abstract

En aquest treball s’estudien les vuit inscripcions ibèriques procedents del Cabeço de Mariola. Una és la petita làmina de plom amb escriptura sud­oriental, ja coneguda des de fa més d’un segle, tot i que sense context, mentre que les més significatives de la resta són, principalment, àmfores itàliques i ibèriques de les excavacions modernes amb inscripcions nord­orientals que corresponen al moment final del jaciment en el primer quart del s. I a.n.e. Cal destacar que proposem una nova lectura del text de la làmina de plom que permetria identificar tres numerals lèxics ibèrics, ban (1), bin (2) i ilur (3) i els seus equivalents simbòlics I, II i III, tot i que una interpretació estrictament antroponímica no es pot descartar completament: banbi+[­­­] i ilu[­­­]. En el cas de les àmfores s’hi identifiquen noms de persona, plausiblement, els propietaris: bele i beleśbi[n], que haurien d’identificar a la mateixa persona, atès que les dues corresponen al rebost 6000, i seŕtuni de la casa 21000.

In this work we study the eight Iberian inscriptions from Cabeço de Mariola. One is the small lead plaque in Southeastern script, already known for more than a century, although without context, while the most relevant of the rest are mainly Italic and Iberian amphorae from modern excavations with inscriptions in Northeastern script that correspond to the final moment of the site in the first quarter of the 1st century BC. It should be noted that we propose a new reading of the text of the lead plaque that would allow us to identify three Iberian lexical numerals, ban (1), bin (2) and ilur (3) and their symbolic equivalents I, II and III although a strictly anthroponymic interpretation cannot be completely ruled out: banbi+[­­­] and ilu[­­­]. In the case of the amphorae, personal names are identified, plausibly, the owners: bele and beleśbi[n], which should identify the same person, given that both correspond to the pantry 6000, and seŕtuni of the house 21000.
