La predicación como fuente de comunicación. Sus posibilidades y límites

Abstract

La predicación, objeto de muchos estudios por su importancia en la relación de la Iglesia con la sociedad, ha sido bastante ineficaz a lo largo de los siglos e incapaz de transformar las sociedades llamadas cristianas. Las causas de ese fracaso han sido muchas. Entre las más importantes, la corrupción de la misma Iglesia, la ignorancia del clero y la incapacidad del pueblo para entender en toda su profundidad el mensaje evangélico prostituido por una Iglesia (entendida como jerarquía y clero) inhábil para acomodar su vida a su predicación.

Preaching, object of many studies due to its importance in the relationship between Church and society, has been very inefficient throughout the centuries and unable of transforming the so called Christian societies. The causes of this failure have been many. Among the most important ones are to find the corruption of the Church itself, the ignorance of the clergy and the incapacity of the people to understand in its depth the evangelical message prostituted by a Church (understood by hierarchy and clergy) that cannot adapt its life to its preaching.
