Abstract: We investigate the response of three commercial polymer (Polyvinyl chloride-PVC, Polyethylene terephthalate-PET, and Polypropylene-PP) under irradiation with high frequency (until 1 MHz) femtosecond (450 fs) multi-pulse (N = 30−100) laser at λ nm= 515 (2.9 J/cm2 ) and 1030 nm (2.9 J/cm2 ). Different series of straight lines are made on the surface of these polymers at irradiation conditions not studied before, observing different thermal and ablative behaviours between them.
