Los menores de edad víctimas mortales de ETA

Abstract

ETA asesinó a un total de veintiún niños entre 1980 y 2002, además de herir a más de cien en otros atentados. La mayoría de víctimas menores de edad se debieron a ataques indiscriminados contra la población civil y las residencias de las fuerzas de seguridad del Estado. Las casas-cuartel de la Guardia Civil fueron uno de sus principales objetivos. El presente trabajo analiza las acciones y el discurso de la organización terrorista ETA, y también el modo en que, a través de su principal medio de comunicación Egin, justificó las acciones contra niños.

ETA killed twenty one children from 1980 to 2002. Additionally, more than one hundred were injured in different attacks. The majority of those casualties resulted from indiscriminate onslaughts against the civilian population and the homes of the State Security Forces. The Civil Guard barracks were among the main targets. This paper analyses the actions of ETA and the terrorist organization discourse, as well as the way they justified those actions against children through their own newspaper Egin.
