La lengua y las lenguas: imaginarios lingüísticos sobre la diversidad en la prensa española

Abstract

La prensa es un espacio propicio no solo para la discusión sobre las lenguas, sino también para la propagación de determinadas ideologías y, en particular, para la generación de representaciones o imaginarios lingüísticos. Son estos marcos cognitivos capaces de orientar la percepción del hablante sobre las lenguas en términos de pureza, nacionalismo, represión, imperialismo, etcétera. El objetivo del trabajo es examinar la teoría del Imaginario Lingüístico de Anne-Marie Houdebine y analizar, desde esta perspectiva, cómo se construyen verbalmente y se trasmiten determinados Imaginario(s) Lingüístico(s) a través del género de las Columnas sobre la lengua (CSL). Para ello se ha seleccionado un corpus de 207 CSL cuyo tema es la diversidad lingüística y la convivencia de lenguas en España. Se mostrará la pertinencia de las herramientas analíticas para comprender construcciones ideológicas antagónicas sobre la lengua.

The press is a suitable space not only for the discussion about languages but also for the propagation of certain ideologies and, in particular, for the generation of representations or linguistic images. These cognitive frameworks are capable of guiding the perception of the speaker on languages in terms of purity, nationalism, repression, imperialism and so on. The objective of the work is to examine the theory of Linguistic Imaginary of Anne Marie Houdebine and analyze, from the proposed methodology, how certain Linguistic Imaginary (s) are constructed verbally and transmitted through the genre of the Columns on the language (CSL). To this end, it has been selecte a corpus of 207 CSL whose theme is linguistic diversity and the coexistence of languages in Spain. It will show the relevance of former analytical tools to understand antagonistic ideological constructions about the language.
