Resumen:	The Peninsular War (1808-1814) belongs to the long period of Napoleonic Wars, and it left a deep mark on the history of Spain. This explains its continued presence in the educational curriculum and in the Spanish collective memory. My objective is to explain the manner in which this conflict is being represented, narrated and publicized in Spanish museums and interpretation centres. Accordingly, the objects of my inquiry are military and municipal museums.
